On September 20, 2015, we had a wonderful trip to the estates of the northern part of the former Kharkiv province in Sumy district – now it is Sumy Oblast, we also visited Trostyanets’. Thanks to Anna Zolotareva for the wonderful photos!

The Nadarzynski-Golitsyn estate, rebuilt by Leopold Koenig in the second half of the 19th century:

Trostyanets. Horse yard of the Nadarzhynsky-Golitsyn estate (1749):

Yunakivka, Sumy Oblast. Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, built in 1806.

The bell tower was built in 1823.

The Lishchynsky Palace in Kyyanytsya:

All this was built by the sugar magnate Kharytonenko (1890), and he bequeathed it to his niece, Maria Lishchynska.

Update: The Trostyanets Palace and Horse yard were looted and partially burned down by Russian Armed Forced in March 2022.

The Lishchynsky Manor was destroyed on April 9, 2026 by Russian Armed Forced strikes.
