Transport spotters are people who are passionate about public transportation. They photograph trams, trolleybuses, buses, trains, ships, and airplanes. For the sake of their hobby and to capture striking images, they travel to other countries and cities. In 1959, one such foreign spotter, R. de Groot, came to the USSR to photograph trams. He also visited Kharkiv, leaving behind many high-quality photos of the city’s trams and streets. We tried to find the angle from which one of the photos of the MTV-82 tram on Poltavskyi Shliakh St. was taken; it was used on a modern tourist magnet.
