The pre-WWI Art Nouveau house, located at Kravtsova Lane, 7 (formerly Mordvinivsky Lane), came to life after the facade was renovated in 2015, which it had been waiting for for decades.
The famous Kharkiv actress, Lyudmila Gurchenko, lived on the fourth floor of this house and survived the nazi occupation there.

Now the house is not ashamed to show to guests of the city. The original window glazing bars of the entrance have been preserved.
By the way, the house overlooks Lyudmila Gurchenko Lane, which before its renaming in 2015 was called Sammerovsky, and in pre-soviet times bore the surname Kharinsky.
