Unfortunately, it has undergone the inevitable addition of an attic, and it is now difficult to recognize the original structure.

The entrance was also raised above the ground floor, even though the building has two other entrances from the courtyard, one of which has a ramp.

According to the 1909 directory, this plot, like the neighboring plots 2 and 6, belonged to Elizaveta Petrovna Goleva, the widow of a merchant.

Anna Zholnirenko had rented the building for a girls’ high school, but she soon moved to Mar’ins’ka Street, 18.

The 1915 guidebook already lists Raisa Goryaeva’s private boys’ gymnasium at Mar’ins’ka Street, 4.

As in the old days, the restored building is now used as a private gymnasium (Prostіr).
