Construction of the Littera House for employees of the Southern Railway Administration took place from 1927 to 1932.
Its current address is Yevhena Kotliara Street, 8/10. Architect Oleksiy Beketov designed two sections of the same building in different styles—Socialist Classicism (pictured on the right) and Constructivist (on the left). The building is large and took a long time to construct; one style flows into the other along its long facade.
In 1953, the building was included in the list of the best buildings in Kharkiv.
