The apartment building at Kulykivskyj Descent, 14 is one of the architectural landmarks that suffered the most damage as a result of the Russian missile strike on Kharkiv on February 5, 2023.

This Art Nouveau apartment building was constructed in the early 20th century, when the street was called Gubernatorskaya. From 1922 to 2015, it was known as Revolution Street.

The architect of the project is unknown, but the first owner of the house is known: Voskresenskaya Olimpiada Ivanovna, the wife of a college secretary.

Notable among the residents listed in the “All of Kharkiv” directory (1917) is Alexander Richardovich Günter (1890–1984), a legal scholar and assistant attorney-at-law who served as a professor at Kharkiv University and the Kharkiv Commercial Institute.
