Most residents of Kharkiv know the Golberg brothers from the many versions of the legend associated with the Church of the Three Saints.
However, few people today remember exactly what the enterprising Alexander, Vasily, Grigory, Dmitry, and Ivan Goldberg did.
Their activities at the beginning of the last century were vigorous and quite diverse.
Thanks to the advertisements of that time, we can see that the name “Golberg” refers not only to a church, but also to things like Opel cars or warehouses.
P.S. The surname Goldberg comes from the German words “gold” and “berg” and translates to “golden mountain.”
