This architectural landmark, located at Heroes of Kharkiv Avenue, 36, was built in 1838.

The building was designed by the renowned architect Andrei Ton.

Unfortunately, not many buildings from the first half of the 19th century have survived in the city in their original form; this building, alas, was expanded in the 2000s. The new structure seems to have swallowed up the old building, leaving only two walls standing.
