The Printing House was built between 1968 and 1975 based on a design by architect R. Suncheley and engineer I. Yusim; it is located at Heroes of Kharkiv Avenue, 247.

Originally, this was the complex of the “Socialist Kharkiv Region” printing plant, designed by the “GiproNIIpoligraf” institute. According to researcher Olexander Leibfreid, the 14-story building housed the editorial offices of regional newspapers and the executive board of the Kharkiv Regional Organization of the Union of Journalists.

The other two blocks housed printing facilities. The facades were clad with aluminum profiles, large-format glass, glass blocks, and colored ceramic tiles. It is said that the printing building was black in honor of black ink.
The complex sustained serious damage as a result of a Russian missile strike on July 31, 2022.
