One of the most famous buildings on Poltavsky Shlyakh Street, at number 67, was built in the Ukrainian Art Nouveau style in 1912. The building was owned by Georgy Georgievich Vysotsky.

Architects: E.N. Serdyuk, O.V. Gamazhenko. It is worth noting the trapezoidal windows and the entrance group of a similar shape – typical for this style.

For a time, the Kharkivgiprodor design institute was located here.

One of the walls is decorated with a Soviet Modernism sgraffito inscription reading “Kharkiv—City of Labor, Science, and Culture” and a mosaic featuring the city’s coat of arms, which was adopted in 1968 and remained in use until 1995. It depicts electron orbits, an ear of wheat, and a gear. Interestingly, a ceramic panel with the same motto can be seen on the building at Klochkivska Street, 3.

Unfortunately, in recent decades, the building at number 67 has looked completely abandoned…
