The building at Shota Rustaveli Lane, 10 originally housed the Nikolaevskoye Real School.

Architects: I. Zagoskin, B. Kornienko, A. Linnik. The building was constructed between 1911 and 1914.

During the interwar Soviet period, the building housed Secondary School No. 18.
In March 1943 (during the Third Battle of Kharkov), the school served as the headquarters of the Czechoslovak Ludwig Svoboda Battalion, earning it the status of a historical landmark. Unfortunately, it did not receive architectural landmark status. In the fall of 1943, the school’s purpose changed to that of a hospital, housing an evacuation hospital.
Until recently (around 2016), this building housed the inpatient ward of City Clinical Hospital No. 11.

The building is now abandoned.

The building was damaged by Russian missile strikes in the spring of 2022 and lost its windows.
