Institute of Occupational Hygiene

The building at Trinklera Street, 6 is one of the largest and most complex projects of architect Viktor Estrovich in terms of volume and spatial composition. It was built in 1935 for the Institute of Occupational Hygiene, founded in 1923.

Researchers, in addition to constructivism, see elements of art deco in the building. The facades that face the courtyard are not plastered, there you can see that the house is made of red brick, not reinforced concrete, with which we associate constructivism. Most likely, the tiles on the main facades appeared somewhere in the 1960s, as on many other Kharkiv constructivist buildings, as a result of which their original appearance suffered.

The building now houses the Regional Dental Clinic and the Research Institute of KhNMU with a clinical department.
