In 2021, renovation work was completed on the facade of the early 20th-century building at Heroes of Kharkiv Avenue, 17.

And here we have a rare instance where the building no longer has a glazed-in balcony. In Google Street View images from 2011 and 2015, the building appeared either faded yellow or pink, but the balcony on the right, that was glazed in the 1990s, significantly detracted from the building’s appearance.

It’s a shame that the ground floor is still the same stylistic mishmash it always was.

The house is an architectural landmark, but the information about its first owners, construction year and architect is so inconsistent across different sources that we will not include it here.
