Coats of Arms of the Kharkiv Governorate, Based on the Book by L.V. Ilyashevich

In 1885, M. Zilberberg’s printing house published a book titled *A Brief Essay on the History of the Kharkiv Nobility*. The author of this work was L. V. Ilyashevich, the leader of the nobility of the Zmiiv District. In addition to comprehensive information about the Kharkiv nobility itself and interesting appendices, the book also featured beautiful illustrations of coats of arms. The appendices included the Leaders of the Nobility of the Kharkiv (Sloboda-Ukrainian) Governorate and a list of individuals entered into the Genealogical Register of the Sloboda-Ukrainian (now Kharkiv) Governorate in 1786.
