In 1909, the lot at the corner of what were then Eparchial and Veterinary Streets belonged to a middle-class couple—Appolinariy Maksimilianovich Stashinsky and Elizaveta Pavlovna.

The eclectic-style building was constructed approximately at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, although the exact years and the architect are unknown.







A home’s yard can also be beautiful, but for us, it serves purely utilitarian purposes, and no one even thinks about its aesthetic value anymore, let alone gives it any consideration.



You can see how the appearance of the courtyard has changed now that most of the windows have been replaced with modern white double-pane windows.
