Very soon, many of us will be celebrating the joyous feast of Christ’s Resurrection.
An integral part of this important holiday is, without a doubt, the Easter egg (pysanka).
As is well known, according to church tradition, eggs should be dyed on the eve of Easter, on Maundy Thursday.
So today, on the eve of the upcoming holiday commemorating the Last Supper and Jesus Christ’s institution of the Eucharist, we’d like to share a few examples of Sloboda Ukraine (Kharkiv) pysanky with you.
To delight the eye with the variety of patterns from our region—and perhaps find some inspiration.
