On June 13, 1865, Alexander Nikolaevich Vyezhev was born in Zmiyv.
He received his early education at home.
In 1870, he studied at M. Raevskaya’s private art school in Kharkiv.
In 1887, the talented young man was admitted to the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts.
Starting in 1889, Alexander Nikolaevich took an active part in exhibitions organized by the Peredvizhniki Society and the Moscow Society of Art Lovers.
In early 1900, in Kharkiv, Vyezhev founded the Circle of Local Artists (1900–1908) with the aim of organizing regular exhibitions of works by Kharkiv artists.
Solo exhibitions were held in St. Petersburg in 1905 and 1915.
He was a painter of landscapes, portraits, and genre paintings. He created a large series of views of Crimea.
In 1918, Vyezhev died tragically in Gurzuf, but to this day he lives on in his paintings...
