Today in our book column, we’re featuring a children’s book. These very sweet, touching, funny, and instructive stories by Evgenia Chistyakova-Ver about children’s games—first published in 1910—are exactly the kind of thing worth reading to a child at bedtime. Of course, the book is illustrated. The author is known primarily for her translations of foreign children’s fairy tales and stories, but she also wrote some very good original works for children.
