The “House from the Past,” located near the “Palats Sportu” metro station, at Heroes of Kharkiv Avenue, 144.

This is one of the buildings of the Kharkiv Agricultural Research Station, constructed between 1909 and 1911 (architects E. Serdyuk and M. Kharmanksy), which is an architectural landmark in the Ukrainian Art Nouveau style. It is quite unusual for the Novy Domy neighborhood, which only began to be developed in the late 1950s.

The building is now located outside the Agricultural Research Station’s grounds and is freely accessible.

New buildings are going up right next to the house; it would be a shame to lose it. In this neighborhood, a house like this is truly one of a kind—like a glimpse into the past.
