Kharkiv's "Kino" – Alluring Kharkiv

During the “Book Arsenal” exhibition, held in April 2016 in Kyiv, the A. Dovzhenko National Center presented an exhibition of covers from the magazine “Kino.”

The magazine was published in Kharkiv in 1925, as well as in 1932–33 (from 1926 to 1931, it was published in Kyiv).

We didn’t miss the chance to take photos of the covers of *Kino* magazine.

In the first episodes, you can see Natalia Uzhviy and Amvrosiy Buchma, leading actors at the Berezil Theater, who starred in the 1926 film *Taras Shevchenko*.

It is interesting to note that the covers feature not only stills from Ukrainian films of that period, but also from foreign films, particularly Hollywood ones.
