“One-wall houses” are probably found in every city, some of the most famous are located in Odesa and Zhytomyr. These are buildings, one of the ends of which forms two walls at an acute angle, at certain angles an optical illusion appears and it seems that there is only one wall.

We know of 2 such houses in Kharkiv. One of them, built around the end of the 19th century, is located near the tram circle and the Kharkiv Railway Station at Hvardiitsiv-Zaliznychnykiv Street, 3. At the end of its triangular part is an entrance with triangular staircase.

Well, the first, more famous house with one wall is located at Heroes of Kharkiv Avenue, 193. This is the “Krasny Luch” residential complex, which was built in the second half of the 1920s.

However, for many people living in the Railway station area, their house seems to be the only “one-walled” house in the city.
