The building of the former Bellevue Hotel is one of the most elegant and beautiful structures at the beginning of Poltavskyi Shliakh Street.

This Art Nouveau-style hotel was likely designed by Boris Kornienko and built in the early 20th century. The building is a historic landmark, and its well-preserved Art Nouveau balcony railings are particularly noteworthy.
The hotel was originally located at Universytets’ka Street, 33. Pre-revolutionary directories list N.M. Biryukov as the manager.

The property at the current address of Poltavskyi Shliakh Street, 11 (as well as the adjacent No. 13) belonged to the family of merchant Yegor Pavlov in the first half of the 19th century. In the 1901 lists of property owners, Robert Karlovich Meyer (a Saxon subject) is listed as the owner. By 1909, the property belonged to Petr Stepanovich Goncharov, a burgher. It is possible that he was the owner of the hotel.

On July 6, 2022, as a result of a Russian missile strike on a neighboring building at Poltavskyi Shliakh Street, 13, the former hotel building sustained damage and lost its windows.
